Welcome to the World~ Soryn & Mylenn

Where do I begin?????

I will start with last Wednesday, December 9. I was feeling GREAT!!! I made it through an entire day of school and (I had been going home early to rest.) even made it out to Happy Hour at On the Border with some teacher friends. I told my mom how great I was feeling. (This information will come into play later.)

So Thursday came and I was feeling "ok." I was still very exhausted. I went to bed after reading on the details about a C-section on the internet. (I think my body was preparing for its next adventure.) I was in bed around 9:45 pm and Matt came to bed a little later than usual. He made it to bed around 11:00 pm.

I got up around 12:30 am to go to the restroom for the millionth time and I realized that was not urine. I told Matt, "Matt, I think my water just broke." He wakes up and says, "what???" So I doubled checked to make sure it WAS NOT urine and sure enough it just started to flow. I had no control. I called my mom to make sure I was correct and she said yes. We decided to go straight to the hospital and not call b/c that is what they told us to do. I kept praying that my doctor was on call b/c I really like her and wanted her to perform the surgery.

As soon as we got to labor & delivery, I asked, "is Dr. Neville on call?" They said, "yes, until 7:00 am." I said, "thank the Lord."

So both sets of parents/grandparents got to the hospital around 1:30 am and hung for awhile until we knew the game plan. When they realized it wouldn't be until 7:00 am they went to I-Hop for some pancakes and some "wake me up" food.

They wheeled me in around 6:50 am and at:

7:21 AM, December 11, 2009: Soryn Makessa Lindgron entered the world at 5 lbs and 17 inches long.

And then at:

7:23 AM, December 11, 2009: Mylenn Bristal Lindgron entered the world at 5 lbs 8 oz and 18 1/2 inches long.

We came home yesterday around 5:30 pm and we made it through our first night with the help of my Mom!! We also had our first doctor's appointment today and all is good so far. They have lost a little bit of weight but that is to be expected.
My mom told me later that she knew that I was gonna have these girls pretty soon when she found out that I was "feeling really good" last Wednesday. So low and behold I had them early Friday morning.

We are all adjusting to these new wonderful little people. Matt is such a proud daddy and he is being such a great support.

We want to thank all of the thoughts and prayers that have been sent our way. We are TRULY BLESSED.

Our Girls!!
